Day 28: A scar you have and its story
My forehead. It's a Harry Potter like scar, or so I've been told. The weird thing is, you don't really notice it unless I scrunch my forehead up...you know, like doing the one eyebrow thing, laughing, or just...scrunching my forehead up...anyways, here's the story:
When I was younger... 8 or 9 I believe...I was getting ready to go to a wedding. I had just taken a shower, got out & this is where it gets sketchy. lol I either bent over to pick up a towel that had fallen in the floor, or I slipped on wet floor...either way, forehead + corner of sink= bloody mess. It didn't really even hurt...just kinda an "ouch" keep going thing. I remember looking at my chest, & there was blood. I lifted my head to look in the mirror, & I looked like Carrie. Ya know, right after she gets the pigs blood or whatever poured on her...there was blood EVERYWHERE. I flipped out, ran out of the bathroom screaming MOM! I'M BLEEDING! She was in the kitchen so she was just like "Oh, I'm sure you're fine!" pretty much ignoring me. My dad was like Aw lemme see...I turn around & ya'll, I have NEVER seen my dad get up that fast before! Not before then, & not since. lol He jumped up like "Uh Kim, she really is bleeding." Mom rounds the corner & flips out too. (She HATES blood.) They ran me into their big bathroom & sat me up on the sink. My mom had my nerves even more tore up because she was crying & the blood was soaking through a TON of towels that they were holding to my head. I remember crying & saying "Mommy, am I gonna die?" hahaha. I was really scared! Anyways, they took me to the ER & they said I needed stitches. They went in, numbed my forehead, & half way through...the numbing medicine wore off. So I spent quite a while in pain feeling them stitch up my forehead because since they were already into the procedure, they said they couldn't give me anymore. I got a whole 4 stitches. hahaha. Afterwards, I went home, through on some clothes & we WENT TO THE WEDDING! hahaha Oh yeah, we weren't about to miss that thing! lol So I got to go in the wedding with a big bandaid on my forehead telling people "not to touch it or bump into me because I could start bleeding again". lol I think it's a pretty funny story & now my scar is quite the nice conversation starter. So I really like it. (:
(Can you see it?)
